1979 Stanley Cup Finals

The 1979 Stanley Cup Finals was contested by the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Rangers. The Canadiens won the best-of-seven series 4-1 to win their fourth Stanley Cup in a row and their 22nd overall. Montreal’s Peter Mahovlich was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs.
